This new model gets its inspiration from a very special instrument from the collection of Sean Jones, Bill Fielder’s MLV 65GH. With that horn as the starting point and Sean’s help, we developed an entirely new Vindabona model, the NEW 190L65GV. It features a newly designed LV bore size and an optimized 43 leadpipe with nickel reciever to perfectly balance the #65 bell, Bach’s largest bell design. The new bore size takes the horn from medium-large bore to large bore in the same style as the MLV, for players looking for an even bigger sound than the MLV but still desiring efficiency. This trumpet provides the player with the ultimate breadth and richness of sound while maintaining the classic Bach quality. The choice of gold brass makes the sound even richer and more mellow at soft dynamics while still allowing the player to get bright at loud dynamics. This instrument is the ideal choice for the player looking for the ultimate, rich, dark sound that can still project. We are extremely grateful to Sean for sharing such a special horn with us and we hope that Prof’s legacy continues with this instrument.
